JOB SUMMARY
Backstage Support Services Ltd. is a full service event staffing and security provider. We are an industry leading labour supplier providing a range of support solutions including stagehands, riggers, catering assistants, production assistants, etc. We are Alberta’s largest licensed event security agency, providing professional event security, crowd management, and personal protection services the province for concerts and special events.
The Recruitment and Retention Manager will be responsible for implementing creative initiatives to attract new part-time casual employees to join our roster, and employ strategies for maintaining our current staffing levels. Specific challenges include the inconsistency of regular work (high and low seasons), and initial cost of provincial licensing and police checks for new recruits.
The Recruitment and Retention Manager will report directly to the Regional Director – Alberta North on all matters.
This is a full-time salaried position that will be based out of the Edmonton branch, starting immediately.

Backstage Support awarded Edmonton Northlands contract

Backstage Support Services Ltd. (Backstage), Alberta’s premiere event security and crowd management company, is pleased to announce the signing of a new contract with Northlands. The Edmonton Backstage office will provide event security services at Rexall Place, EXPO Centre and Northlands Park to work alongside Northlands’ in-house security team.
